Available in a choice of 1.5cm, 2cm or 2.5cm width of our vegetable tanned stirrup leather. Before ordering, we would ask that you please check our size guide for help on finding your dog’s size. Larger, wider or custom designs and colours available on request!
The only polo dog collar on the market with the choice between solid brass or nickel plated fittings (both are solid brass). These collars also feature a solid, uncompromised buckle and D-ring, with no split at the back, ensuring they stand the test of time even if your dog pulls on the lead! Metalwork hand-stitched on in matching waxed thread, instead of rivets, for strength and durability.
Please note shades of dark brown leather may vary slightly due to our natural vegetable-tan leather.
Although we use a waterproof metalwork which wont rust and our vegetable tanned leather can cope very well with water we would still advise dog collars are removed to swim as regularly getting leather wet will inevitably age the product faster.

SIZING YOUR DOG COLLAR
Our handmade Argentine polo dog collars are available online in eight sizes and three widths, offering the largest range worldwide. The newest addition is our 1.5cm ‘Super Fino’ collar, specially designed for toy and miniature breeds. The ‘Fino’ collars, with a 2cm width, are perfect for small to medium-sized breeds like Terriers and Spaniels. Larger breeds will require our ‘Standard’ 2.5cm width collars.
To help you choose the right size for your dog’s new collar, please refer to the measurement and suggested breed guides below. While we’ve provided breed size recommendations, please note that some dogs may be smaller or larger than the typical size for their breed.
The first measurement is from the end of the collar (including the buckle) to the first hole, the second is to the last hole, and the third is the total length of the collar (from buckle to end). Since all our collars are handcrafted and hand-finished, the measurements are approximate but serve as a reliable guide.
Although not available online we do make smaller and longer sizes so please get in touch if you require a different size.

How long will it take to ship my item?
Orders placed with Standard or Economy services will be dispatched the same day if received before 2pm UK time. If you place your order after 12pm it will be dispatched the next working day. Express Delivery orders will be shipped the same day if placed by 12pm UK time.
Please note that standard dispatch times do not apply to the following:
- International orders may require up to 24 hours of handling time before dispatch
- Special Edition and Custom Designs can take 2-4 weeks to make, plus shipping time
- Some dog collar and lead sizes are made to order, with a production time of 2-4 weeks (as indicated in individual product listings), plus shipping time
- Belt sizes 115cm and above may take 2-6 weeks to produce, depending on length and leather availability, plus shipping time
- Personalised initials on any of our in-stock belts may require an additional handling time of 5-10 days. This does not apply to special edition or custom design belts, which have set production timeframes.

How will my order come packaged?
At Estribos, we’re proud to say that all of our products are delivered to you completely free of single-use plastic! We’re committed to reducing our environmental impact every step of the way. That’s why all our packaging is made from recyclable, reusable, or biodegradable materials – right down to the tape.
Even our shipping boxes are designed with purpose: not only are they sturdy, but they’re also perfect for reuse in case you need to return or exchange an item. We’re always looking for ways to be more eco-conscious, so you can feel good knowing your purchase supports a greener future.
Will I have to pay import duties or customs fees on my order?
All our products are handmade in the Estribos workshop in Argentina and then shipped to our UK base. Orders are normally dispatched from the UK, unless otherwise arranged.
- UK deliveries: No duties or additional fees are payable on arrival.
- US deliveries: No duties or customs fees are payable under the current tariff scheme – these costs are already included in the shipping fee at checkout.
- Other international deliveries: Duties or import fees may apply depending on your country’s regulations. Please check local customs guidance, as any charges due on arrival are the responsibility of the customer.
Care Instructions
At Estribos, all of our belts are individually handmade using the finest Argentine leathers. Each item is thoroughly inspected in Buenos Aires before being shipped, and again by our dedicated sales team before dispatch.
Our pieces are crafted from natural, vegetable-tanned leather, free from harmful substances. Due to the organic nature of the materials and the traditional tanning process, subtle markings or variations may appear. These are not flaws, but a reflection of the leather’s authenticity and individuality.

FAQs
Can I create a custom polo design?
Yes, you can! Customise your belt with your choice of leather, width, pattern, thread colours, and metalwork using our interactive our Custom Service design tool. You can even add personalised initials to any belt made from our waxed stirrup leathers.
There’s no minimum order for your unique design. For group orders, please contact us directly for discounts. Custom fees are waived for Military/Regiment polo belt designs.
How do I know if I am buying the right size?
When purchasing for yourself or your dog, we recommend measuring an existing well-fitting belt, dog collar, or hat to ensure the perfect size on your first try. For belts and collars, please note that the size listed in centimetres refers to the measurement of the hole you use, not the full length of the product.
If you’re buying a gift, we provide a comprehensive size conversion chart in our Sizing Guide to help you choose the right fit. And don’t worry—our exchange policy has no time limit. We’re happy to exchange any non-custom stock, as long as it’s returned in unused condition.

How do I order a size that is not available online?
At Estribos, we offer 15 belt sizes, 8 dog collar sizes, and 11 hat sizes. However, we can also create custom sizes beyond these options. Whether you need a slightly larger hat or dog collar, or prefer a mid-size belt, we can accommodate your needs. Just get in touch, and we’ll make it happen!
How do I exchange my Estribos goods?
If you wish to exchange an item, we are committed to ensuring our products are worn with pride and want to make the process as easy and reasonable as possible for you. We have no time limit on our exchange policy, and we don’t require a receipt as proof of purchase, as long as the item is in unused condition.
To initiate an exchange, simply return the item to us at the address below, along with a note that includes your full contact details, return delivery address, and the exchange requested. Full exchange information is also included on the flyer packaged with your order.

Can the recipient of a gift exchange their Estribos goods?
Yes, if the item is non-custom stock then of course – simply give them our flyer with their gift and they can exchange it themselves in person or by post! They will not need a receipt and there is no time limit on exchanges as long as items remain unused.
Do you offer a refurbishment service?

Can you make a polo belt/collar/keying for my Regiment?
We’d be honoured! Over the years, we’ve crafted numerous regimental and military designs, some of which are available to purchase online. We also make donations to various benevolent funds. If you can’t find your regiment, please reach out to us. We’ll gladly create a custom regimental or military polo belt/collar/keyring for you, with no additional custom charge.
