Our recent re-addition to the fur felt collection is the Ha Fur Felt Hat. Handmade in our workshop in Buenos Aires, this is made using the finest Argentine wild hare fur felt to ensure that it stands the test of time.
We originally designed and made this sharp looking model in the 1940s – a hybrid, bringing together the best of both worlds creating an incredibly versatile and practical all-rounder. Featuring the formality of our Andrés racing trilby with a traditional matching ribbon and bow we have included the firm felt brim shaped to dip at the front and turn up at the back. We have then incorporated the practicality of our signature ‘Fer’ fedora by adding a wider 7cm brim and tear-drop shaped crown. Along with a comfort and grip of the elasticated band inside this hat will adapt to any social environment for many, many years to come.
Made from 100% wild hare fur felt the ‘Ha’ is water resistant and designed to withstand all kinds of weather. All that we ask is that if you have worn it out in the rain, please don’t try to speed dry it in an airing cupboard or on the radiator; leave the hat to dry at room temperature on a hook or upside down to preserve its shape and size!

Size Guide
SIZING YOUR HAT
The following guide will help explain our hat sizing system, covering various methods of measurement including US, UK, and centimetre sizing. Our Andres Trilby is available in centimetre sizing, with its international equivalent listed below. Please note that these hats are lined with silk and leather, so like a new pair of leather shoes, they will soften and adjust with a few uses.
Our Ha and Fer fedora designs, available in summer, leather, and felt materials, are sized from XS to XXL and feature a comfortable elasticated inner band. As a result, they don’t correspond to an exact centimetre size but instead offer a range in centimetres, designed to fit snugly at first.

How long does delivery take?
- UK Economy Service takes 3-5 working days
- UK Standard Service takes 1-2 working days
- UK Express Service takes 1 working day
- European Tracked & Signed is 7-15 working days
- European Express Delivery take 3-5 working days
- USA Tracked Standard Delivery sent via USPS can take 8-15 working days depending on location, occasionally a bit longer in certain circumstances
- USA Tracked & Signed Express Delivery sent via UPS/DHL/FedEx taking 4-7 working days depending on location
- Rest of the World Standard Delivery can take between 2-4 weeks or more depending on local postal services
- Rest of the World Express Delivery is sent via UPS/DHL/FedEx and can take approximately 5-10 working days, however is easily monitored with tracking information
Orders placed with Standard or Economy services will be dispatched the same day if received before 12pm UK time. Orders received after 12pm will be dispatched the next working day. For Express Delivery, orders will be shipped the same day if placed by 2pm UK time.
Please note that standard dispatch times do not apply to the following:
- International orders may require up to 24 hours of handling time before dispatch
- Special Edition and Custom Design belts can take 2-4 weeks to make, plus shipping time
- Certain dog collar and lead sizes are made to order, with a production time of 2-4 weeks (as indicated in individual product listings), in addition to shipping time
- Belt sizes of 115cm and above may take 2-6 weeks to produce, depending on length and leather availability, plus shipping time
- Personalized initials on any of our in-stock belts may require an additional handling time of 5-10 days. This does not apply to special edition or custom design belts, which have set production timeframes.

How do I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email. For international orders, you will also receive an update with shipping status and/or tracking information. Please check your junk folder, as tracking details are often sent directly from the courier or shipping agents (Royal Mail, Parcel2Go, Transglobal Express, FedEx, or UPS, depending on the destination and service selected).
For UK orders, tracking information will be provided directly by Royal Mail, either via text or email.
All of our orders are shipped using reliable, insured, and tracked services, ensuring both you and we have added security with proof of delivery.
Care Instructions
Estribos hats are built to last – with all felt and leather hats being more than just shower-proof, your new purchase can take you through years of sunshine and rain as long as you look after it properly. They key is to let them dry naturally! Keep it away from the radiator, airing cupboard or stove and re-mould when wet to help preserve its shape. How you leave your hat is how it will dry – so for the best result re-shape when wet and always store your hat upside down (brim up) or on a hook on the wall.
All of our leather and felt hats are rain ready and require no treatment before to use. The waxed leathers can be treated with conditioners or clear bees wax polish – always apply to a dry cloth first and then wipe across brim and crown. This will keep your leather waterproof and extend its life considerably.
Our nubuck suede should not be conditioned but can be Scotch-guarded instead, any standard suede spray should work nicely. We suggest maintaining the suede once/twice a year or as necessary. A quick brush down every now and then will remove light dirt and water marks.
Our fur felt fedoras and trilbies require no conditioning or spraying at all. As a handmade product made from 100% natural fibres they can endure rain without feeling wet. Using a brush to remove dust or dirk marks you will be delighted with how easily maintained your hat is!
It goes without saying, but summer hats are not waterproof so please avoid wearing in any rain! A light sponge on any marks will easily lift any dirt. And again as with all our hats, for best results please store upside down to keep the lovely shape of your brim.

How do I know if I am buying the right size?
When purchasing for yourself or your dog, we recommend measuring an existing well-fitting belt, dog collar, or hat to ensure the perfect size on your first try. For belts and collars, please note that the size listed in centimetres refers to the measurement of the hole you use, not the full length of the product.
If you’re buying a gift, we provide a comprehensive size conversion chart in our Sizing Guide to help you choose the right fit. And don’t worry—our exchange policy has no time limit. We’re happy to exchange any non-custom stock, as long as it’s returned in unused condition.

How do I exchange my Estribos goods?
If you wish to exchange an item, we are committed to ensuring our products are worn with pride and want to make the process as easy and reasonable as possible for you. We have no time limit on our exchange policy, and we don’t require a receipt as proof of purchase, as long as the item is in unused condition.
To initiate an exchange, simply return the item to us at the address below, along with a note that includes your full contact details, return delivery address, and the exchange requested. Full exchange information is also included on the flyer packaged with your order.

Can the recipient of a gift exchange their Estribos goods?
Yes, if the item is non-custom stock then of course – simply give them our flyer with their gift and they can exchange it themselves in person or by post! They will not need a receipt and there is no time limit on exchanges as long as items remain unused.
