To purchase simply add to your belt of choice and we will attach this for you before sending out. Alternatively add to your basket and we can supply loose. Please do get in touch directly if you are interested in attaching this buckle to one of your existing belts as we can offer this service free of charge.
Available in a standard 3.5cm width with an angular end or narrow 2.5cm width in a rounded finish.
Please note that we cannot guarantee this buckle is nickel or lead-free.

How long will it take to ship my item?
Orders placed with Standard or Economy services will be dispatched the same day if received before 2pm UK time. If you place your order after 12pm it will be dispatched the next working day. Express Delivery orders will be shipped the same day if placed by 12pm UK time.
Please note that standard dispatch times do not apply to the following:
- International orders may require up to 24 hours of handling time before dispatch
- Special Edition and Custom Designs can take 2-4 weeks to make, plus shipping time
- Some dog collar and lead sizes are made to order, with a production time of 2-4 weeks (as indicated in individual product listings), plus shipping time
- Belt sizes 115cm and above may take 2-6 weeks to produce, depending on length and leather availability, plus shipping time
- Personalised initials on any of our in-stock belts may require an additional handling time of 5-10 days. This does not apply to special edition or custom design belts, which have set production timeframes.

How will my order come packaged?
At Estribos, we’re proud to say that all of our products are delivered to you completely free of single-use plastic! We’re committed to reducing our environmental impact every step of the way. That’s why all our packaging is made from recyclable, reusable, or biodegradable materials – right down to the tape.
Even our shipping boxes are designed with purpose: not only are they sturdy, but they’re also perfect for reuse in case you need to return or exchange an item. We’re always looking for ways to be more eco-conscious, so you can feel good knowing your purchase supports a greener future.
Will I have to pay import duties or customs fees on my order?
All our products are handmade in the Estribos workshop in Argentina and then shipped to our UK base. Orders are normally dispatched from the UK, unless otherwise arranged.
- UK deliveries: No duties or additional fees are payable on arrival.
- US deliveries: No duties or customs fees are payable under the current tariff scheme – these costs are already included in the shipping fee at checkout.
- Other international deliveries: Duties or import fees may apply depending on your country’s regulations. Please check local customs guidance, as any charges due on arrival are the responsibility of the customer.
Care Instructions
At Estribos, we are dedicated to crafting items that are built to last and can be easily maintained & repaired when needed. That’s why we offer a buckle guarantee, ensuring peace of mind for years to come.
The Palermo, Bombero, and Estribo buckles are crafted from solid brass or nickel-plated solid brass. While regular use usually reduces the need for polishing, the buckles can be easily maintained and restored to their original shine if tarnished.
To clean your buckle, start with warm soapy water and a cloth. Then, use a brass polishing cream along with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to bring it back to a like-new condition. Be sure to avoid getting water or brass-cleaning products on suede or carpincho leather, as they may cause stains.
For standard buckles in brass-effect, gunmetal, or chrome, the cleaning process is the same. However, these buckles, being non-solid brass, may not offer the same long-lasting shine or finish.
FAQs
Can I personalise a belt with custom initials?
Yes, we now offer personalised initials on any of our waxed leather belts. You can add two or three embossed initials to the belt of your choice in any of our three waxed stirrup leathers (brown, black or tobacco). This is not currently available on Carpincho and suede leather belts.
Please note this may increase delivery timeframe by 5-10 working days on in-stock items and costs £8 per belt (free with a Custom Design).
Can I change the buckle on my belt?
We offer a fantastic selection of solid brass and nickel-plated brass buckles in various shapes, all available through our online custom design tool or added to our existing selection of belts. If you have an existing belt or buckle you’d like help with simply get in touch and we’ll be happy to arrange it for you.
