Can I design my own polo belt/pet accessories?
Yes you can! Your choice of leather, width, pattern, thread colours and buckle using our interactive Custom Service design tool. Currently available online for belts, dog collars and leads, very shortly being expanded to keyrings and browbands.

Production time is currently 3-4 weeks plus shipping time. No minimum order for your one-off design. For group order discounts get in touch directly. Custom fee waived for any Military/Regiment polo belt designs.
How do I know if I am buying the right size?
When buying for yourself or your dog we find the very best way to make sure you get the size right first time is to measure an existing well-fitting belt, dog collar or hat. If the purchase is a gift we offer an extensive size conversion chart in our Sizing Guide. Rest assured we have no time limit on exchange policy, and will be happy to exchange any non-custom stock ordered if this is returned in unused condition. Can I personalise a belt with custom initials?
We have just added embossed initials to our online custom design tool! You can add two or three embossed initials to your custom polo belt in our three waxed stirrup leathers (brown, black or tobacco). This is not currently available on Carpincho and suede leathers.
Whilst it is not yet available online for our standard designs, please do get in touch and we can sort this out for you. The cost of this is £8 per belt and increase delivery timeframe by 10 days.
Do you ship outside of Argentina/UK?

What payment method can I use?
Our Basket and Checkout system are operated by PayPal, but you can also pay by card without having a PayPal account. Simply fill in your customer details at Checkout, click the ‘Checkout with PayPal’ button at the bottom of the form, and on the screen that follows select the “Pay with a Credit or Debit card” option.

PayPal accepts any VISA credit or debit card, any MASTERCARD credit or debit card, AMEX and Maestro.

We can also process card payment over the phone or by BACS. Should you prefer to order with an alternative payment method then please make contact and we will be delighted to sort this out for you.
Where can I find you to try before buying?
Team Estribos has been attending over 100 events a year across the UK and Europe with our ‘Corner of Argentina’ since 2004! From Cowdray Park Polo to the London International Horse Show and Cheltenham Racecourse we usually always have a team out somewhere.

How long does delivery take?

Rest of the World Express Delivery is sent via UPS/DHL and can take approximately 5-10 working days, however is easily monitored with tracking information.

International orders require 24hrs handling time before dispatch. Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class orders will be dispatched the same day if received before 12pm, otherwise they will be sent the next working day. Royal Mail Special Delivery will be dispatched the same day if ordered by 2pm. If there is an issue relating to sizing/availability we will keep you informed.

Please note standard dispatch times do not apply to:
– Special Edition and Custom Service belts which can take 2-3 weeks to make (plus shipping time).
– Certain models of dog collars and leads are made to order which can take 2-4 weeks to make, as mentioned in individual product listings, plus shipping time.
– Belt sizes of 115cm and above can take between 2-6 weeks (plus shipping time) depending on leather availability.
– Additional handling times is required for any belts with a buckle upgrade.

As soon as your order has been completed you will receive a confirmation email, followed by an order update with with shipping status and/or tracking details. Please keep an eye on your junk folders as tracking will often come directly from the shipping agents (Royal Mail or Transglobal Express). We send all of our orders via reliable, insured and tracked services, giving you and us the added security with proof of delivery.

Will my order arrive in time for Christmas?
Our office will be open and working right the way up to Christmas with our last posting day being Thursday December 22nd.

How do I exchange my Estribos goods?
Should you wish to exchange then we are very keen that our products are worn with pride and we hope that you will find us very reasonable and easy to deal with. We do not have a time limit on our exchange policy, nor do we need a receipt as proof of purchase as long as the product is still in entirely unused condition.

Return your item to us at the address below and enclose a note confirming full contact details, return delivery address and the exchange required. Full exchange information is also included on our flyer packaged with your order.

Can the recipient of a gift exchange their Estribos goods?
Yes, if the item is non-custom stock then of course – simply give them our flyer with their gift and they can exchange it themselves in person or by post! They will not need a receipt and there is no time limit on exchanges as long as items remain unused, so all Christmas gifts can easily be exchanged in the new year.

How do I care for my Estribos goods?
At Estribos all of our products are individually handmade and crafted on the best Argentine leathers available. All items are checked in Buenos Aires before shipping over and again by our dedicated sales team before posting out. Due to the natural vegetable tanning and organic nature of our production slight markings and imperfections might appear, we feel this is all part of the character and uniqueness.

We believe in creating a sustainable product that was built to last. Made with hardwearing materials that will not only see you through the years, but can be easily maintained if needed. Here are some simple tips to help your get the most out of your Estribos goods.

Belts and Dog Collars

The waxed coating applied to the cotton threads used to stitch the distinctive Argentine Guarda-Pampa design will help preserve the colours and bind the stitching together. Should you need to clean the thread we advise you to use soapy water and a damp cloth. Working on individual areas at a time, wipe only in the direction of the threads and always dry off with a towel. Avoid water coming into contact with the leather.

In the unlikely event that you snag the stitching, simply tuck the loose end back round and under the threads, using a drop of superglue to secure. Or, make contact with us and we will be more than happy to restore your belt to its glory.

Any of our belts, pet accessories and keyrings made on vegetable tanned stirrup leather can be cared for and maintained by following the tips below.
As with all leather goods, your leather may require conditioning. This can be done with any clear bees wax polish or saddle soap by applying to a soft, dry cloth and then buffing the leather. Please avoid contact with stitching, conditioning can be done on buckle and holes ends of belts/collars.
Please note – we all know some dogs enjoy a swim and although our collars are made to last, as with all leather, regular soaking will age your collar.
Our unique and naturally textured Carpincho leather used on our belts does not require conditioning. You will find that with time the markings become more prominant and distinctive. A suede brush can be used to lift water marks, however if your carpincho is likely to get wet please we suggest protecting with Scotch-guard first.

Our dog collar metalwork and buckle upgrades are always made with solid brass (even the nickel plated items) so will never rust or wear. Over time these can be revived with the appropriate polish to bring back the shine.


Estribos hats are built to last – with all felt and leather hats being more than just shower-proof, your new purchase can take you through years of sunshine and rain as long as you look after it properly. They key is to let them dry naturally! Keep it away from the radiator, airing cupboard or stove and re-mould when wet to help preserve its shape. How you leave your hat is how it will dry – so for the best result always store your hat upside down (brim up) or on a hook on the wall.

All of our leather and felt hats are rain ready and require no treatment before to use. The waxed leathers can be treated with conditioners or clear bees wax polish – always apply to a dry cloth first and then wipe across brim and crown. This will keep your leather waterproof and extend its life considerably.

Our nubuc suede should not be conditioned but Scotch-guarded instead, any standard suede spray should work nicely. We suggested maintaining the suede once/twice a year or as necessary. A quick brush down every now and then will remove light dirt and water marks.

Our fur felt fedoras and trilbies require no conditioning or spraying at all. As a handmade product made from 100% natural fibers they can endure rain without feeling wet. Using a brush to remove dust or dirk marks you will be delighted with how easily maintained your hat is!

It goes without saying, but summer hats are not waterproof so please avoid wearing in the rain! A light sponge on any marks will easily lift any dirt. And again as with all our hats, for best results please store upside down to keep the lovely shape of your brim.

How do I get a refund?
If you are not completely satisfied with your online purchase, we’re sorry to hear that – simply return the item to us in its original unused condition within 14 days of receipt.

We will issue you a full refund of the cost of the product (excluding P&P) upon receipt – please allow 10 working days for a refund to be processed. If free shipping was applied to your purchase, the cost of shipping will be discounted from the refund amount.

The returned purchase is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore for your own protection we recommend that you send the parcel using a recorded delivery service that insures you for the value of your goods.

If you are returning the goods from outside of the UK please make sure that you email us first to make the necessary delivery and customs arrangements. Failure to do so will mean that we will have to pass on any import taxes and duties that are incurred.

Refunds are not available on our custom service where the items have been made in accordance with your order.
